What the effin' crap... [24 Apr 2008|06:42pm]
[ mood | pissed off ]

What kind of crap logic is it that you destroy years of a friendship with someone just because you want to get back at another person? What kind of person hides you just because some jealous bastard decides that it's either him or you. All I am is a friend, all I am is someone she knows, all I am is someone she has a past with, that's it. I'm not a threat other than the fact that I hate the guy. But I don't get in the way, I stay silent, I'm a good boy. Yet his stupid effin' ass steps in and says that I'm a threat, that she cares more about me than him.

Well I guess you made you decision didn't you, I guess the years that I've known you and talked to you. That bond of friendship that we built over countless phone calls, me helping you with your fears, talk you through bad times and countless lumps of advice when you came asking for it is totally worthless... isn't it?

This is why I don't care any more, you all wonder why I have my guard up? Why I don't let people close to me? Why I hold each and every one of you at arms length? This is why.

You will all betray me in the end. Everyone I've ever let close to me has done so, everyone I've ever let my guard down to has.

The shield is back up, screw love and screw this. I'm never letting anyone close again.

Lightning does strike twice [28 Mar 2008|05:04am]
[ mood | amused ]

So, I recently watched Nodame Cantible, an anime about classical music and the struggles of one semi-genius musician who strives to be a world famous conductor one day. The anime itself is riddled with famous classical pieces that are played wonderfully. However, loving this anime so much made me wonder, was there a live action? And would it live up to the anime? There's always a problem when it comes to musical anime themes and translating into a live action. Anime is easy to just get a score and transpose it over an animation that fits the bill well enough to make you think they're actually playing it, it is only an animation after all. However, in a live action to 'fake' it you might as well be playing it (or using stupid trick camera angles).

So I downloaded the first episode of Nodame Cantible Live Action... I'm flabbergasted. It's even better than the anime! The pieces are still amazing and I can't tell if they're actually playing it or 'faking' it. Not to mention watching the quirks of the main characters come to life. Haha, I laugh my ass off every time Nodame screams "GYABO!!". They picked a spectacular cast for it.

This one is a keeper... and, I think I'm beginning to fall in love with live action anime. It's got a whole new dynamic to it that anime is just missing... ^_^; real girls.

AAAAUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!
-breaths-...

I torn between ripping my eyes out and choking up my own intestines.
I'm not sure what they were going for with Gintama (ep 50) but I nearly lost my lunch a few times. Do any of you ever remember watching 'I Love Lucy' and truly being so ashamed and embarrassed for them that you could barely watch the entire episode? Yeah, I've got that feeling with Gintama right now.

Just thought I'd let you know, I will now continue watching the episode, it's like a train wreck.

I Am A: True Neutral Human Cleric (4th Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-14

Dexterity-15

Constitution-15

Intelligence-14

Wisdom-14

Charisma-15

Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Clerics act as intermediaries between the earthly and the divine (or infernal) worlds. A good cleric helps those in need, while an evil cleric seeks to spread his patron's vision of evil across the world. All clerics can heal wounds and bring people back from the brink of death, and powerful clerics can even raise the dead. Likewise, all clerics have authority over undead creatures, and they can turn away or even destroy these creatures. Clerics are trained in the use of simple weapons, and can use all forms of armor and shields without penalty, since armor does not interfere with the casting of divine spells. In addition to his normal complement of spells, every cleric chooses to focus on two of his deity's domains. These domains grants the cleric special powers, and give him access to spells that he might otherwise never learn. A cleric's Wisdom score should be high, since this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

[ mood | Beyond Sleep ]

I don't know what's worse, that I was gripped to the point that I gave up sleeping last night to read Harry Potter... or that it was a fan fiction. -shrugs- It honestly wasn't the best I've ever read, but it's probably one of the best fan fics I've read in a long time. It's not even finished yet, I swear... I want to leave a comment to the author and tell them to friggin' hurry up with the next chapter.

It's so sad... Now I'm inspired to actually go read the damned original books.

Oh yeah, I have to be at work in 6 hours. -_-; I wonder if I should just cut my loses and go to sleep now. I'm exhausted, but I'm beyond sleep now. I could probably lay down and pass out, but is that really good for me? I always feel like crap when I pass out rather than fall asleep. But I'm up now, and if I don't ... okay, I'm going to bed. I just retyped "don't" six times... one of the spellings came out like doy;g... yeah, bed.

AHA!!! [16 Nov 2007|03:34am]
[ mood | Annoyed... yet... overjoyed? ]

You know what, my new favorite genre of film is action. It's mindless, repetitive and damn fun to watch. What with everyone and their mom failing to create anything even worth my time watching outside of this genre lately I think I'll stick to the type of film that doesn't pretend to be anything but what it truly is, entertainment. Everyone else has become so caught up in either money grubbing or trying to invent the next blockbuster that their either: 1) Succeed in pissing off the fans, or 2) Succeed in failing. I'm gonna stick to the books from now on... naw, that's a lie. I'll see movies based on books again, but I'll never pay to see it, ever.

Anyway, what spurred this rant? Live Free or Die Hard.
Bruce Willis too old for action? My ass. That guy's role as a tough as nails, old as dirt, down and dirty, nitty gritty cop is friggin' awesome. Hurray for massive mayhem! Hurray for witty one liners! Hurray for knowing the outcome before you even buy the ticket but still get caught up in the action sequences only to find out you've been holding your breath for a full minute!! Just... hurray for entertainment.

This is one man's personal crusade of crucifying the idiot producers, writers and Hollywood money grubbers... out. (Who knows, maybe it's a good thing the writers guild is on strike. Nothing quality was coming from them anyway.)

Is it a full moon tonight?! [08 Nov 2007|05:45pm]
[ mood | angry ]

I don't know what the heck was going on today, but the crazies were all out today that's for sure. Some of the more 'mentally unstable' customers were at our store today. Some I haven't seen in months to boot, I have no idea where they've been but I wish they had stayed there.

"No ma'am, you cannot use my cell phone and please tell your husband to stop calling here. We are not a public service way station or your babysitter."

Best quote of the night.

On another note, we got mini-robbed to boot. Two guys came in acting like they were gonna order and one grabbed the tip jar thinking it was connected and spilled our tips all over the counter. Then the other one grabbed a few bucks and they ran for it. If they didn't have such a huge head start I'd have caught up to them, who the hell knows what I would have done to 'em. I swear, I was so pissed off.

Who the hell would steal tips!? We worked hard for that money, what kind of friggin' scum-bag would do that?! Damn it I'm pissed off...

All in all? A very VERY weird day. I'm just gonna curl up in my nice, warm bed and watch movies the rest of the night. I need to unwind.

Oh, right, the update [30 Oct 2007|12:26am]
[ mood | relieved ]

Forgot to update everyone who cared to read about the family fun over my time in Oregon. My mom is fine and so is the family, they didn't freak out as bad as I thought they would have and my grandma actually rose to the challenge and seriously did everything she could for my Mom. See, these are the reasons I love her. She's annoying, has delusions of grandeur and I swear she's going a bit senile (since she's forgotten about most of her lies and it's easier to catch her in them now). But she is all about family, and will do anything to protect and help us no matter what.

Status of my Mom? Broke and bruised a few ribs, she's up and moving but there's nothing they could really do about that except tell her to keep off her feet as much as possible. She's really lucky, it could have been a lot worse. Hurray for wearing riding helmets and for landing on a pile of horse dung! Saved her head and cushioned the blow on the ground.

Anyway, thank you for your prayers and for your held breath.

hm....

I'm single again, technically. It's kinda weird... but not so weird at the same time. I thought I'd care more, but I suppose long distance relationships have that sort of advantage/disadvantage. You know, that distance that keeps your emotions at a minimum since you don't really have to deal with it everyday. -shrugs- Whatever... I dunno...

A turn for the worse [14 Oct 2007|03:16pm]
[ mood | rushed ]

Maaaaaan, this sucks! -sighs- the weekend was going so well too. My mom just got thrown from her horse, she's not injured too badly. She was able to get up and get into the car and dad just drove off to the hospital with her. Pray for her if you pray, please? We're sort of in a haze around the house right now, not sure what to do beyond what's been done. -_-; The other family members are gonna freak out.... I can't wait for that to happen, especially Grandma. Oye...

Oh well, better let them know. Phone time...

All settled in [13 Oct 2007|02:53pm]
[ mood | content ]

Okay, made it to Oregon safe and sound. The landing was a bit bumpy, bounced three times before he settled in on the ground and hit the brakes; but such things are expected in such small planes. I love it when people complain when a pilot bounces the plane a few times just to get it settled right. Now I could understand if he sets it down HARD or rocks the boat and jars your around a lot. But a few bounces never did anyone any harm, well, not much harm anyway... other than nerves.

Anyway, i'm gonna be here till Monday morning. Huzzah for a mini vacation including my dad's and gram's bdays. Miss a few weekend events back home, but it's nothing I haven't missed before. Happens.

I'm gonna go out and play with the goats and horses, see ya'll!!

New Mini Series on SciFi [10 Oct 2007|10:23pm]
[ mood | disappointed ]

So apparently SciFi has yet again believed themselves to be original and innovative by creating yet another mini series that is based off an old classic movie that was damn good enough as it was. The Wizard of Oz is a good movie, right? You agree? And the sequel made me about crap myself it was so damn demented. Anyway, they've decided to make the mini series based off the first movie (from what I can tell) and make it every bit as demented as the second, I mean just look at the cast:

-Zooey Deschanel as a crack whore, punk rocker looking Dorothy who is 'free' and strong willed.
-Allan Cumming as a mopey, woe-is-me depressed goth wannabe Scarecrow.
-Raoul Trujillo as a failed telepathic, now empath Carebear Scared-cat Lion.
-Neal McDonough as a pretty damn close copy of Indiana Jones Tinman.
-Richard Dreyfuss as a old fart who's so addicted to drungs that he'd eat his pants instead of ever be smart enough to be a Wizard.
-Kathleen Robertson as a bitch witch of the west who gets off on stealing others souls by inhaling them.

Cliche? yes. Original? no.

I'm really looking forward to the travesty that will soon be called Tinman. Hurray for SciFi failing again! Thanks for shattering all my childlike hopes and dreams.

Two thoughts of the day: [05 Oct 2007|02:19pm]
[ mood | Philisophical ]

1) Why is a dog's mouth considered the most sanitary part of it's body? Don't they see that it eats its own stool?! Yuck, makes me wonder just how unsanitary the rest of the dog is. I'm gonna go wash my hands now.

2) And speaking of washing, why do they have those towels that have separate sections to remind you which side or end you dried your lower regions with? Are you saying you didn't do a good enough job cleaning yourself? Get back in that damn shower and scrub yourself you filthy idiots. Who cares what end of the towel you use! You just cleaned yourself!

Some random fun [08 Sep 2007|03:54pm]

Your Score: Smart Paladin

55% Combativeness, 46% Sneakiness, 76% Intellect, 52% Spirituality

Valorous! Noble! Or possibly just a self-righteous jerk (but with the brains to keep you alive!)... You are a Smart Paladin!

Paladins are holy warriors. They are valorous defenders of the light. Unfortunately, most of them are so ardent in their defense they tend to meet sticky ends faster than you can say "rampaging red dragon." Many people look up to Paladins, while others just consider them stuck up, overbearing, or self-righteous.

Fortunately for you, unlike most Paladins, you're pretty smart. Which means that you're more likely to fall into the "admired" category, rather than the "obnoxious" or "dead" categories.

Much like the crusades, you manage to combine violence and religion, though unlike the crusades, you add a healthy does of intelligence. You may be a staunch defender of the faith, a valorous champion of the weak, or the stuff that jihads are made of. Which ever one you are, just be happy that youve got the smarts to back it up and make it work.
